Star midfielder Luis Alberto will start for Lazio in the season opener against Empoli on Saturday.

As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 28-year-old Spanish midfielder did not start in the final pre-season friendly against Sassuolo last weekend, only coming on in the second half.

Luis Alberto has now recovered from muscle fatigue and the controversy that surrounded him earlier this summer and is now set to start under coach Maurizio Sarri against Empoli later this week.
