Official: Lazio Primavera Midfielder Andrea Marino Joins Piacenza on Loan

Lazio Primavera midfielder Andrea Marino has joined Serie C side Piacenza on loan.

As announced in an official statement on Monday of this week, the 20-year-old Italian midfielder has joined the Serie C side on a season-long dry loan, where he is hoping to earn regular minutes as he continues his professional development.

The 20-year-old Marino was the captain of the Lazio Primavera squad and made 29 appearances in Primavera 1 last season, for a total of 2356 minutes. In that time, he scored four goals and provided one assist, but couldn’t help the side escape relegation.

With the Primavera squad suffering relegation, Lazio are working to send a variety of their talented youngsters out on various loan spells in order to further their development, with youngest Raul Moro being promoted to the first team under coach Maurizio Sarri.

Other Primavera players may leave the club in the coming weeks, with a little less than two weeks left in the transfer window.
