Starlet Raul Moro to Get His First Serie A Start for Lazio Against Empoli on Saturday

Lazio talent Raul Moro is set to make his first competitive start for the Biancocelesti against Empoli on Saturday.

As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 18-year-old Spanish winger has been one of the stars of the summer for the Roman club, impressing coach Maurizio Sarri at the pre-season training camp in Auronzo di Cadore.

Moro has won over Sarri and given the lack of transfer market activity, the Spanish teenager could make his first competitive Lazio start against Empoli on Saturday evening.

Much is linked to the situation of Joaquin Correa, who seems destined to leave Lazio this month. No serious offers have arrived yet though despite Inter’s interest, so he may be forced to stay in Rome until at least the January transfer window.

The 18-year-old Moro therefore may start ahead of Correa, completing the attacking trident alongside Ciro Immobile and Felipe Anderson.
