Away Tickets for Lazio’s Season Opener Against Empoli Have Sold Out

The away tickets for Lazio’s season opener at Empoli on Saturday have sold out.

As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 1500 tickets allocated to the Biancocelesti were put out on sale yesterday and managed to sell out, with the fans keen to finally return to the stadiums.

The last away game that Lazio fans were allowed to support their team was the 3-2 win against Genoa at the Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris back on 23rd February 2020, a 541-day distance from Saturday’s match.

It will be a big game for Lazio, as it’s the first game of their Serie A season and their competitive debut under new coach Maurizio Sarri. New signings like Elseid Hysaj and Felipe Anderson will also be able to make their first impressions of the season, and even Roma’s Pedro may be present.

Lazio’s first home game of the season is against Spezia the following weekend, which will take place on 28th August at 6:30 pm local time.
