Manchester United forward Andreas Pereira, who was linked with a return to Lazio, has joined Flamengo on loan.
As reported by Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano on Twitter last night, the 25-year-old Brazilian forward will join Flamengo on a season-long loan deal, with the Brazilian club paying a part of his wages.
Pereira spent last season on loan with Lazio but struggled to earn consistent minutes with coach Simone Inzaghi remaining unconvinced about his suitability to his 3-5-2 system.

The 25-year-old Brazilian expressed a desire to one day return to the Biancocelesti in the future earlier this summer, and some rumours suggested that coach Maurizio Sarri was interested in the player, but this never translated into serious attempts to sign him.

Pereira is contracted to Manchester United until 2023 and is joining Flamengo on a dry loan, so it’s possible that Lazio will be linked to him in the next summer transfer window as well.
