Lazio’s Probable Starting XI for Opener vs Empoli: No Correa, Strakosha or Lazzari

Here is the probable Lazio Starting XI for their Serie A season opener against Empoli tomorrow evening.

As reported by Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today, coach Maurizio Sarri is not expected to start Argentinian forward Joaquin Correa in tomorrow’s match, with young talent Raul Moro starting in his spot. The 27-year-old may still leave the club before the end of this month.

Below is the expected Lazio Starting XI:

Lazio (4-3-3): Pepe Reina; Adam Marusic, Luiz Felipe, Francesco Acerbi, Elseid Hysaj; Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Lucas Leiva, Luis Alberto; Felipe Anderson, Ciro Immobile, Raul Moro.

Pepe Reina and Thomas Strakosha are competing to be the main goalkeeper this season, but it seems that the Spanish veteran will take the starting spot tomorrow.

No surprises in the Lazio defence, with Elseid Hysaj, Luiz Felipe, Francesco Acerbi and Adam Marusic set to begin the match in front of Reina.

The midfield will also have no surprises, with Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Luis Alberto and Lucas Leiva will make up the midfield trio.

The attacking trident seems set to be Felipe Anderson, Ciro Immobile and Raul Moro, although there’s a small chance that Pedro will start in place of the Brazilian winger.
