Lazio veteran Stefan Radu has officially signed a one-year contract renewal with the club.
As announced in a post on Lazio’s Instagram page last night, the 34-year-old Romanian defender signed a one-year extension with the Biancocelesti and will be a part of coach Maurizio Sarri’s squad next season.
Radu featured prominently last season, making 31 Serie A appearances under previous coach Simone Inzaghi, for a total of 2466 minutes. In that time, he provided three assists and helped the side keep 11 clean sheets.
Radu joined Lazio in the summer of 2008 from Romanian side Dinamo Bucharest. In his 13 years with the club, the defender has won three Coppa Italia trophies and three Supercoppa Italiana titles, as well as making his Champions League debut with the Roman side last season.
