Sarri Needs to Pick Between Muriqi & Caicedo to Be Lazio’s Backup Striker

Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri still needs to decide which player between Vedat Muriqi and Felipe Caicedo will be Ciro Immobile’s backup.

As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 62-year-old Italian coach has made it clear that he only needs two strikers in his squads, and one of these will certainly be the talismanic Immobile.

This means that the former Napoli and Chelsea coach needs to choose either Muriqi or Caicedo to be the second forward. So far, he has not made a clear indication but he may test one of the pair this evening against Empoli.

Lazio are thinking of selling one of the two, which would make space for some last-minute purchases, and the club’s management have been looking for a new home for Caicedo for some time now.
