Lazio Reignite Interest in Borussia Dortmund’s Brandt to Avoid Non-EU Limit Issue

Lazio have reignited their interest in Borussia Dortmund forward Julian Brandt in order to avoid an issue regarding non-EU players.

As reported by Italian newspaper La Repubblica (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the Biancocelesti’s top offensive target this month is Eintracht Frankfurt winger Filip Kostic, but the fact that he doesn’t hold an EU passport poses an issue.

There are only two non-EU player slots in the squad and one of these is already filled by Brazilian winger Felipe Anderson. The other is currently absent, with the Roman club not including Serbian defender Dimitrije Kamenovic in the list yet.

However, the 21-year-old has suggested that he isn’t going anywhere this month, claiming that he’s received reassurances. If Lazio register Kamenovic, then they would not be able to include Kostic in their squad as well.
