Lazio Star Milinkovic-Savic Looking to Break Nedved’s Midfielder Goals Record

Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is only three goals behind Pavel Nedved’s goal record with the club.

As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the Czech has scored the most goals as a midfielder in Lazio’s history, having netted 51 times in total between the league and the various other competitions, like the Coppa Italia.

Milinkovic-Savic, who scored the equalizer in the 3-1 win over Empoli on Saturday, has currently scored 48 goals for the Biancocelesti since signing for the club in 2015.

Milinkovic-Savic scored eight goals and provided 11 assists in 41 appearances across all competitions last season under previous coach Simone Inzaghi, numbers that he’s likely to improve on under Sarri.

The player is endlessly linked with a move away from Rome, but has consistently shown his loyalty to Lazio and is contracted to the club until 2024.
