Genoa Express Interest in Unregistered Lazio Defender Kamenovic

Genoa are interested in signing unregistered Lazio defender Dimitrije Kamenovic.

As reported by Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla on Twitter earlier today, the Rossoblu are already in talks with the Biancocelesti for Ecuadorian striker Felipe Caicedo and Algerian full-back Mohamed Fares, and now have signalled that they’re keen on the 21-year-old Serbian defender as well.

Kamenovic, who officially signed for the Roman club last month from Serbian side Cukaricki, was not included in the Serie A squad registration list, with the Biancocelesti keeping the slot free for Eintracht Frankfurt winger Filip Kostic, who is one of their top transfer targets.

The 21-year-old Kamenovic had suggested that he would be staying at Lazio, but he may be willing to join Genoa if it becomes clear that he will remain unregistered for the rest of the season.

The Serbian defender made 30 Super Liga Srbije appearances last season, for a total of 2391 minutes. In that time, he scored two goals, provided three assists and helped the side keep 17 clean sheets.
