Referee Federico Dionisi Will Officiate Lazio’s Serie A Match vs Spezia

Referee Federico Dionisi will oversee Lazio’s Serie A clash against Spezia on Saturday evening.

As reported by Italian media outlet LazioNews24 earlier today, the 33-year-old Italian referee will officiate the Biancocelesti’s second game of the 2021/22 season against Spezia, their first home game of the season at the Stadio Olimpico.

Last season, Dionisi officiated five Serie A games, including Lazio’s 1-0 win over Spezia in May of this year, where he gave four yellow cards.

The 33-year-old Italian has only been the referee for six Serie A games and seven Coppa Italia matches total in his career, having worked extensively in Serie B and Serie C.

Lazio and coach Maurizio Sarri will be looking to continue their strong start to the season against Spezia, with another three points key in keeping up momentum in the early stages of the campaign.

Dionisi’s assistants will be Dario Cecconi and Alessio Berti, with the fourth official being Daniele Paterna. Referees Gianluca Aureliano and Stefano Liberti will be in the VAR room.
