Lazio and Inter have reached an agreement regarding Joaquin Correa and things could be finalised today.

As reported by Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, a telephone call between Nerazzurri directors and the Argentinian’s agent Alessandro Lucci was decisive in reaching a deal for the player.

The total operation will cost around €31 million, broken up into a €5 million loan, a buy option (which could become an obligation to buy clause) set at €23 million plus €3 million in add-ons.

Inter will give Correa a four-year contract with a salary of €3.5 million net per season. The 27-year-old Argentinian forward, who has been in close contact with his friend and national teammate Lautaro Martinez, is just waiting for the green light before heading up to Milan.

Correa could officially sign with Inter today and join them in training ahead of the upcoming Serie A clash against Hellas Verona.

Lazio themselves are working on the incoming market, securing the signing of Bordeaux midfielder Toma Basic today before turning their attention on a new winger, which could possibly be Eintracht Frankfurt’s Filip Kostic.
