Lazio have officially announced the signing of Bordeaux midfielder Toma Basic.
As announced in an official statement earlier tonight, the Biancocelesti have signed the 24-year-old Croatian midfielder outright from the French club on a multi-year contract. The player arrived in Rome and took his medicals earlier this morning, which didn’t return any surprises.
Basic has signed a five-year contract with Lazio, earning a salary of around €1.5 million net per season. The deal for him is expected to have cost around €7 million with €1 million in add-ons, although this has not been officially confirmed.
The 24-year-old Basic joined Bordeaux in 2018 from Croatian side Hajduk Split in a deal worth around €3.5 million. In his three years with the Ligue 1 side, the Croatian midfielder made 82 appearances, scored nine goals and provided five assists.
