Lazio’s top transfer target is Eintracht Frankfurt winger Filip Kostic, despite the rumours linking them to other players.
As reported by Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla last night, the 28-year-old Serbian winger has been ready to join the Biancocelesti for at least a month now, and the Bundesliga side have already given the green light to the deal.
The Roman club have also already freed up a non-EU player slot in the squad, giving space to Kostic, at the expense of defender Dimitrije Kamenovic.
For coach Maurizio Sarri, Kostic would be perfect for his 4-3-3 system. Despite this, Lazio have been linked to many other players recently, like Borussia Dortmund’s Julian Brandt and Hellas Verona’s Mattia Zaccagni.
Brandt is not being targeted by the Roman club anymore, although Zaccagni was proposed yesterday. However, Kostic is still the main target and Lazio are working hard to secure the player’s signature before the closure of the transfer window.
