Lazio Primavera thrashed Ternana Primavera 6-0 in a pre-season friendly yesterday.
As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, coach Alessandro Calori’s squad is continuing to shine in their pre-season, working hard in preparation for the upcoming Primavera 2 season.
The goals were scored by 17-year-old forward Valerio Crespi, 19-year-old midfielder Marco Bertini, 18-year-old winger Mirco Mancino and 18-year-old winger Simone Castigliani.
18-year-old goalkeeper Giacomo Moretti also deserves praise, having saved a penalty kick when the game was only 1-0, preventing Ternana from equalising.
Lazio Primavera’s next challenge will come on Sunday against Flaminia Civita Castellana.
Young talent Raul Moro, who was previously part of the Primavera squad, was promoted to the first team by coach Maurizio Sarri this summer, providing motivation for the rest of the Primavera squad to continue working hard, as it’s clear that the 62-year-old Italian coach is open to trusting young talent.
