Genoa are working non-stop to try and sign Lazio wing back Mohamed Fares before the transfer window closes.
As reported by Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla last night, the Rossoblu are incredibly keen to acquire the 25-year-old Algerian wing-back, wanting a new reinforcement for coach Davide Ballardini’s squad, who mostly play in a 3-5-2 formation.
The Biancocelesti want the deal for Fares to include an obligation to buy clause, whilst the Ligurian club would prefer a loan deal with a buy option.

Talks between Lazio and Genoa are still ongoing, with Fares happy to make the move north. The player did not impress coach Maurizio Sarri at the pre-season training camp in Auronzo di Cadore and is not included in the Italian coach’s project in Rome.
