Lazio midfielder Fabio Maistro will join Serie B side Ascoli on a dry loan.
As reported by Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today, the 23-year-old Italian midfielder has decided to join the Marche team, spending another season in Serie B where he’ll continue his development.
Contracted to Lazio until 2022, Maistro was tested by coach Maurizio Sarri at the pre-season training camp in Auronzo di Cadore but did not impress the 62-year-old Italian coach and so he’ll look to prove himself whilst on loan.

The 23-year-old Maistro joined Pescara on loan last season from Lazio, where he made 29 Serie B appearances, for a total of 1831 minutes. In that time, he scored four goals and picked up nine yellow cards. That experience was filled with highs and lows for the player, who needs to find more consistency.
