Lazzari to Undergo Medical Tests Today Following Injury in Lazio’s Win vs Spezia

Lazio full-back Manuel Lazzari will carry out some medicals tests at the Paideia Clinic today.

As reported by Italian media outlet LazioNews24, the 27-year-old Italian full-back suffered an injury in the 6-1 win over Spezia on Saturday, with some blaming the incredibly poor pitch condition at the Stadio Olimpico, something that was pointed out by coach Maurizio Sarri.

The former SPAL man was forced to come off in the 25th minute due to the injury, which appears to be a calf problem.

The 27-year-old Italian full-back was forced to renounce his call up to the Azzurri for the international break due to the injury, a frustrating decision for the player, who wasn’t included in the squad that won Euro 2020 this summer.

The upside is that Lazzari has a couple of weeks to try and return to full fitness ahead of Lazio’s next game against AC Milan.
