Luka Romero Set the Record for Lazio’s Youngest Ever Player in Serie A History

Lazio talent Luka Romero has now set the record for the club’s youngest ever player in Serie A.

As reported by Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi yesterday, the player made his league debut in the 6-1 win over Spezia on Saturday, coming on the pitch at 16 years, 9 months and 10 days old, setting the Biancocelesti’s record for their youngest ever player in the league.

The Argentinian forward also set the record for the youngest ever debutant in La Liga, appearing for RCD Mallorca at just 15 years and 219 days old.

Luka Romero has taken the record from Lorenzo De Silvestri, who is currently a full-back with Bologna. On 23rd July 2005, De Silvestri briefly appeared for Lazio in a match against Tampere United in the 3rd round of the Intertoto Cup, coming on at the age of 17 years and 2 months old.
