Lazio have reached an agreement with Hellas Verona midfielder Mattia Zaccagni and the announcement is expected soon.

As reported by Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla earlier this afternoon, the Biancocelesti have finally reached an agreement with the 26-year-old Italian’s agent Tullio Tinti over the player’s wages.

This was the last thing blocking an agreement and now the deal can be finalised before the closure of the transfer window this evening.

Lazio have already reached an agreement with Hellas Verona for Zaccagni, with the deal set to cost €7 million plus €2 million in add-ons.

The Biancocelesti have finally provided coach Maurizio Sarri with a new offensive player, following the collapse of the talks for Eintracht Frankfurt winger Filip Kostic.

The 26-year-old Zaccagni made 146 appearances for the Gialloblu since joining the club in 2014, scoring 15 goals and providing 22 assists in that time.

The player will be an exciting addition to Sarri’s squad and will surely impress under the 62-year-old Italian coach.
