Lazio are in constant talks to close the deal for Mattia Zaccagni but need to increase their wage offer by €500 thousand.

As reported by Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio earlier this afternoon, the Biancocelesti have already reached an agreement with Hellas Verona for the 26-year-old Italian midfielder, with the deal set to cost €7 million plus €2 million in add-ons.

The only issue now is that the Biancocelesti still need to reach an agreement with the player regarding his wages.

The 26-year-old Italian midfielder does want to make the move to Rome and the two parties are in constant talks, working to close the deal before the transfer window closes this evening.

Lazio’s previous target was Eintracht Frankfurt winger Filip Kostic but the Bundesliga club took him off the market after suggesting he was available for months.
