Lazio midfielder Lucas Leiva is irreplaceable in coach Maurizio Sarri’s squad, having run the most in the 6-1 win over Spezia.
As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 34-year-old Brazilian midfielder was key in the thrashing over the Ligurian side on the weekend, being important both offensively and defensively.
In the match, Leiva performed all the tasks requested by Sarri to perfection, effectively covering his designated sector and playing a supportive role in the build-up phase.

The 34-year-old Brazilian midfielder is proving to be an effective anchor in Sarri’s squad and if he maintains his physical fitness then he could easily become one of the most important players in the whole squad.
Contracted to Lazio until next year in 2022, Leiva made 32 Serie A appearances last season, for a total of 2157 minutes.
