Ecuadorian forward Felipe Caicedo bid farewell to the Lazio fans following his move to Genoa.
As seen in a post on his Twitter page last night, the 32-year-old Ecuadorian posted a heartfelt goodbye to the Biancocelesti faithful following the announcement that his move to the Rossoblu has been officially completed.
Caicedo posted the following message last night:
Dear Lazio fans. Like all great stories there is a beginning and an end. A long and beautiful story, made of difficult moments and fantastic moments, great emotions, great victories.
At this moment I feel very emotional as I say goodbye to you and thank you for all the affection you have given me. This is the end of my adventure with Lazio.
I’ll remember with love every moment I wore the Lazio shirt. Thank you all for the way you welcomed me and my family. Those goals in the 90th minute, joy and passion will always bind us.
I want to thank my teammates, the club, the warehouse workers, the medical staff and everyone who worked at Formello and made me feel at home.
I hope I’ve been able to repay you with my commitment and professionalism. A big hug to everyone… Love you or I’ll do a Caicedo!
In his four years with the club, Caicedo made 139 appearances across all competitions, playing 6241 minutes on the pitch. Despite struggling to earn consistent starts and minutes, the Ecuadorian forward scored 33 goals and provided 15 assists.
Caicedo became a fan favourite in Rome due to his last-minute goals and consistent performances, despite often not being given a chance to show his best.
The Ecuadorian forward joined Genoa in a deal worth €2 million, signing a three-year contract.
