Felipe Caicedo Scored the Second-Most Goals off the Bench in Lazio’s History

Genoa forward Felipe Caicedo scored the second-most goals off the bench in Lazio history during his four years at the club.

As reported by Italian stats provider LazioPage on Twitter yesterday, the 32-year-old Ecuadorian forward completed a move to the Rossoblu earlier this week, signing a three-year deal worth €2.2 million net per season plus add-ons.

Caicedo was a fan favourite in Rome, known for scoring goals in the dying minutes of games in order to rescue points for previous coach Simone Inzaghi.

Caicedo scored 10 goals off the bench, only one behind Inzaghi. Behind the Ecuadorian was Tommaso Rocchi with nine, Keita Balde with seven, Pierluigi Casiraghi with six and Libor Kozak with five.

The 32-year-old Caicedo will always remain in Lazio’s history and looks back at his time in Rome fondly, enjoying his special relationship with the fans.

In total, Caicedo scored 33 goals and provided 15 assists in 139 appearances across the four years in Rome.
