Lazio Will Include Kamenovic in Serie A Squad Registration List in January

Lazio are planning to register defender Dimitrije Kamenovic in the January transfer window.

As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the Biancocelesti will register the 21-year-old Serbian defender in the Serie A squad registration list in January, following a positive meeting between sporting director Igli Tare and his agent Mateja Kezman.

The Roman club initially chose not to register Kamenovic in the summer window because of their attempts to sign Eintracht Frankfurt winger Filip Kostic; both players would have taken up the one remaining non-EU player slot in the squad.

With Kostic not arriving, Kamenovic now has a chance to be included in the Lazio squad. The 21-year-old Serbian defender did not impress coach Maurizio Sarri at the pre-season training camp in Auronzo di Cadore, and now he has four months to try and change the coach’s mind.

Kamenovic is dreaming of playing a role in Sarri’s squad in the second half of the season and will work hard to impress over the next few months.
