Former Inter president Massimo Moratti spoke highly of Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri and his arrival in Rome.
Speaking in an interview with Italian newspaper Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 76-year-old Italian businessman commented on president Claudio Lotito’s decision to bring in Sarri to replace Simone Inzaghi, who went on to join the Nerazzurri.
I admire Sarri, I find him very good, it’s a pity I couldn’t have met him because when he exploded I was about to quit.
I haven’t heard from Lotito for a long time. He was quick to sign Sarri when he found himself without Inzaghi.
Lazio are also in the top positions.
Lazio have gotten off to a strong start to the season, with a 3-1 win over Empoli in their Serie A opening game before beating Spezia 6-1 before the international break.

If Sarri manages to avoid dropping too many points this month then the Roman club will be in a strong position in the lead-up to Christmas.
The squad are still learning and understanding the 62-year-old Italian coach’s tactical system and requests, so no results can be taken for granted this month.
