Lazio full-back Manuel Lazzari will undergo a new round of medical tests today following his calf strain.
As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) yesterday, the 27-year-old Italian full-back suffered the elongated right calf issue in the 6-1 win over Spezia before the international break.
In order to understand how long he will be absent, the former SPAL man will visit the Paideia clinic today to carry out some new tests.

If the calf elongation is confirmed, then Lazzari is not expected to return until the 23rd or 26th of September, either for Lazio’s match against Torino or the Derby della Capitale against Roma.

It’s difficult to imagine the 27-year-old Italian on the pitch for the Europa League opener against Galatasaray on 16th September or the following league match against Cagliari on the 19th.
Lazzari started the season well under Sarri and scored an impressive goal in the 3-1 win over Empoli in the opening game.
