The Nerazzurri took the lead in the 37th minute thanks to a header from Gloria Marinelli, following a wonderful attacking play by the Milanese club.

Inter had many opportunities to double their lead in the match, but Biancocelesti goalkeeper Stephanie Ohrstrom made a variety of strong saves, being one of the best Lazio Women players on the pitch. Flaminia Simonetti also missed a penalty for the Nerazzurri, with her shot hitting the crossbar.
