AC Milan Striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic Is Fit Enough to Face Lazio This Weekend

AC Milan veteran Zlatan Ibrahimovic is fit enough to face Lazio in this weekend’s league clash.

As reported by Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the 39-year-old Swedish forward has recovered from knee surgery and is expected to feature against the Biancocelesti this weekend.

Coach Stefano Pioli will talk to the former Paris Saint-Germain forward this week before deciding whether to play him from the start or bring him off the bench in the match, with the Swede preferring to start.

French striker Olivier Giroud will be absent from the match after testing positive for Covid-19, so if Ibrahimovic doesn’t start then either Ante Rebic or Rafael Leao will be in the starting XI.

Lazio will also have some absences in the match, with Manuel Lazzari suffering from a calf injury, although Luiz Felipe is expected to return in time.

The match against the Rossoneri will be the first top test of the season for coach Maurizio Sarri.
