Lazio Fans Reportedly Chanted Racist Abuse Toward AC Milan Midfielder Bakayoko

Lazio fans reportedly chanted racist abuse towards AC Milan midfielder Tiémoué Bakayoko this evening.

As reported by Italian media outlet TuttoMercatoWeb earlier today, the chants were heard at the 61st minute, when the 27-year-old French midfielder was substituted on in place of Franck Kessie.

The chants were reportedly repeated three times by some of the Biancocelesti fans present in the away section of the San Siro.

There is already a history between Bakayoko and Lazio fans, stemming from when the 27-year-old French midfielder held up Biancocelesti defender Francesco Acerbi’s shirt following AC Milan’s 1-0 win over the Roman side in April 2019.

Later that month, Bakayoko was reportedly subject to racist abuse by some Lazio fans during a Coppa Italia semi-final clash, both before and during the match.
