Lazio Women Sign Isabella Foletta to Strengthen the Defence

Lazio Women have signed Australian-Italian defender Isabella Foletta to strengthen their backline.

As reported by Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today, the Biancocelesti decided to sign the 21-year-old defender in order to strengthen their defence, following yesterday’s painful 8-1 defeat to AC Milan Women.

Coach Carolina Morace strongly wanted Foletta and the hope is that she can help the squad finally get off the ground in their Serie A Femminile campaign.

Lazio Women have gotten off to a disappointing start to their Serie A Femminile season, having lost their opening three games of the season against Sampdoria 2-1, Inter 1-0 and AC Milan 8-1 yesterday.

The team are still working on building up their experience, and while they are likely to settle into the Italian top-flight soon, it is important to get some points on the board.
