Over 20,000 Tickets Sold for Lazio vs Cagliari Today

Over 20,000 Lazio fans have purchased tickets for this evening’s Serie A clash against Cagliari.

As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the Biancocelesti fans have bought over 20,000 tickets from the 33,000 available, meaning that the Stadio Olimpico will look relatively empty this evening.

The fans have not responded well following back-to-back losses against AC Milan and Galatasaray, a little disappointing for coach Maurizio Sarri, who is hoping the squad bounces back from this delicate moment.

Serie A Preview: Lazio Host Cagliari at the Stadio Olimpico

Fans can still purchase tickets up until this evening, so more could be sold, but the stands of the Stadio Olimpico will look a little barren in Lazio’s match against Cagliari.

Lazio have only been allocated around 33,000 tickets, a little under half of the Stadio Olimpico’s 72,698 capacity, because of the Covid-19 restrictions.

Other leagues around Europe have similar situations, whilst some countries have not set a limit on the number of fans allowed.
