Cagliari captain Joao Pedro is the Rossoblu’s most in-form player heading into the match against Lazio today.
As highlighted by Italian media outlet LazioNews24 earlier today, the 29-year-old Brazilian forward has been one of the few positive notes in Cagliari’s difficult start to the season, and he could score an important goal against the Biancocelesti this evening.
So far this campaign, Joao Pedro has scored three goals and provided one assist, netting twice in the 2-2 draw with Spezia, providing an assist in the 4-1 loss to AC Milan and scoring again in the 3-2 loss to Genoa.
Contracted to the Rossoblu until 2023, the Brazilian forward has made 236 appearances in total for the Sardinian side, scoring 76 goals and providing 25 assists in that time.
Last campaign, Joao Pedro was equally impressive, netting 16 goals in 37 Serie A games. He has scored two goals against Lazio throughout his career but has never beaten the Roman club.
