Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri wants Luis Alberto and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to shine against Cagliari today.
As reported by Italian newspaper La Gazzetta Sportiva (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 62-year-old Italian coach was disappointed in the midfield duo’s performances in the back-to-back losses against AC Milan and Galatasaray recently.
Sarri wants to see an important response from the pair, having recently defended them when speaking with the media, and so they’ll be expected to shine in this evening’s match against Cagliari.
If the pair shine, Lazio will surely have an enjoyable evening at the Stadio Olimpico today, with the duo capable of lighting up games on their own.
In the season opener against Empoli, Milinkovic-Savic scored the equaliser, whilst a week later, Luis Alberto provided three assists and scored a goal against Spezia.
The Biancocelesti need a strong result against Cagliari today, with the atmosphere having soured a little following the back-to-back defeats.
