Only Lewandowski Has Scored More Home Goals Than Lazio’s Immobile This Season

Only Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski has scored more home goals this season than Lazio striker Ciro Immobile.

As highlighted by international stats provider OptaPaolo on Twitter earlier today, the 31-year-old Italian striker has scored four goals at the Stadio Olimpico so far this season, three in the win over Spezia at the end of last month and one in yesterday’s 2-2 draw with Cagliari.

The 31-year-old Immobile, who is contracted to Lazio until 2025, was made club captain this summer, following the departure of long-time servant Senad Lulic.

The Italian striker is the focal point of coach Maurizio Sarri’s 4-3-3 system and he is working hard to impress his new coach, although muted performances against AC Milan and Galatasaray highlight that further adaption work needs to be done.
