Luiz Felipe Frustrated Following Lazio’s 2-2 Draw vs Cagliari, “A Bitter Draw”

Lazio defender Luiz Felipe was not happy with the Biancocelesti’s 2-2 draw with Cagliari yesterday.

Speaking in an interview with Italian radio broadcaster Lazio Style Radio (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 24-year-old Brazilian defender commented on the match against the Rossoblu.

A bitter draw because we played an extraordinary 45 minutes. It’s good to learn, matches last 90 minutes, we did well to draw, but bitter for what we happened.

Now we rest, because Thursday we have an important match.

He spoke a little about the philosophy of coach Maurizio Sarri.

There is a bit of difficulty, but it’s not an excuse. We have to stay focused for 90 minutes and not concede goals in 20 seconds.

We will see what we did wrong to not do it again.

The Lazio defender spoke about the movements required in Sarri’s 4-3-3 system.

The coach always asks to play and not throw the ball away, today we did very well in the first half and a step forward.

Finally, Luiz Felipe looked ahead to the next game against Torino.

In Serie A there is never an easy team to face, all the games are difficult.

Now we’re thinking about Torino, if we play like we did in the first half today, we can do well. Then we’ll think about the derby.

The Biancocelesti’s next game is against Torino this Thursday before they face Roma in the derby on Sunday. The Roman club have failed to find a win in their last three outings and will be hoping to bounce back against Torino on Thursday, wanting the momentum heading into the Derby della Capitale.
