Over 23,000 Lazio Fans Have Purchased Tickets for the Derby Against Roma

Over 23,000 tickets have been purchased by Lazio fans for this Sunday’s Derby della Capitale against Roma.

As confirmed by Lazio’s marketing director Marco Canigiani in an interview with Lazio Style Radio (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, there are still a few tickets left for the upcoming Rome derby, but over 23,000 tickets have already been purchased by Biancocelesti fans.

The total capacity of the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday is 33,000, due to the Covid-19 restrictions limiting the number of spectators allowed.

Reina Excited About Sarri’s Lazio But Calls For Patience, “Our Potential Is Strong”

Lazio fans have come out in full force for the upcoming derby against Roma, and it will undoubtedly be an incredible atmosphere inside the stadium this weekend.

Below are Canigiani’s words regarding the ticket sales for the derby:

So far, a total of 23,000 tickets have been sold for the derby, there is still availability of tickets, especially in the stands, there are still many days to go, we will run out of available seats. Yesterday the pre-emption ended, in the afternoon the free sale started, the pace will grow.

The method is exclusively online, except for those biancocelesti fans who want to buy in the Tribuna Tevere, in this case it is necessary to go to the Lazio Style Official Stores.

The capacity of the Olimpico is now 33,000. For the derby it was impossible to differentiate between subscribers and non-subscribers, in the next games we will reintroduce this mechanism hoping that the capacity will increase.

With a reduced stadium, it is more difficult to think about promotions, but gradually, on the basis of trends, we will provide discounts that will be easier to implement with a full stadium.

Today at 16:00 the online sale for the match against Lokomotiv Moscow will start, it is a busy period to buy tickets but slowly we are getting into the habit.

Slowly we are adapting and understanding the benefit of being able to buy remotely. We hope to reopen the classic ticket office soon.

Sarri Still Working on Finding Balance in Lazio’s Midfield, a Little Time Is Needed

Roma have sold all 10,000 of their available tickets in the Curva Sud and Distinti sections, setting up a lively and exciting derby, something missed last season due to the closed stadiums.

Lazio are technically the ‘home’ team in this match, which is why they have been allocated more tickets than the Giallorossi.
