Lazio midfielder Mattia Zaccagni has suffered a thigh injury and will miss tomorrow’s match against Torino.

As announced in an official statement earlier today, the 26-year-old Italian midfielder has suffered a distractive injury to the iliopsoas muscle of his left thigh, which will force him on the sidelines for a little while.

Over the next few days, Zaccagni will undergo further testing to determine the extent of the issue and how long is recovery is likely to take. He is likely to miss the next two games against Torino tomorrow and Roma on Sunday.

The 26-year-old Italian midfielder has still not made his first start in the league for Lazio so far this season, only making brief substitute appearances against AC Milan and Cagliari. He did play the full 90 minutes in the 1-0 Europa League loss to Galatasaray last week.

Zaccagni was signed from Hellas Verona on transfer deadline day, joining the club on a loan deal with a conditional obligation to buy clause attached.
