Due to this, Zaccagni will be forced to miss the upcoming matches against Torino, Roma, Lokomotiv Moscow and Bologna.

Zaccagni is hoping to return in time for Lazio’s match against Inter on 16th October, an important game for the Roman club as they face coach Simone Inzaghi for the first time since his move to the Nerazzurri.

The 26-year-old Zaccagni, who is on loan from Hellas Verona with a conditional obligation to buy clause attached, has had a slow start to the season under coach Maurizio Sarri, having not yet made a start in Serie A yet.

He did play the full 90 minutes in the Europa League opener against Galatasaray.
