Felipe Anderson Happy After Lazio’s Win vs Roma, “We Wanted to Play Our Game”

Lazio winger Felipe Anderson was overjoyed to have scored in the 3-2 derby win over Roma last night.

Speaking in an interview with Italian radio broadcaster Lazio Style Radio (via LazioNews24) after the game, the 28-year-old Brazilian winger first spoke about the importance of picking up the three points.

The three points were very important, we wanted to play our game, the three points were the first goal and I’m happy to score again in the derby because it’s a special match.

The former West Ham winger commented on his relationship with Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri.

I respect him as a coach, the way he makes his teams play, I wanted to be part of his project, and hearing that he respects my characteristics as a player gives me an extra incentive.

Now I have to do even more to be better on the pitch for a full 90 minutes.

He touched on how it felt to start in the derby against the Giallorossi.

It’s great to play the derby for 90 minutes, to score, to provide assists, every player dreams of playing a game like that.

It’s the derby I’ll remember more than any other.

Finally, Felipe Anderson spoke about his goal and assist against Roma last night.

On the first goal I saw the space created by Immobile’s movement and then for the rest I followed the feeling between me and Milinkovic-Savic who was very brave.

On the second goal, I saw that Ciro Immobile stopped the ball and I started screaming for him to give it to me and then he passed me the ball and I scored.
