Lazio winger Pedro is only the third ever player to score for both Roma and Lazio in the Derby della Capitale.

As highlighted by Italian stats provider OptaPaolo on Twitter last night, the 34-year-old Spanish winger joins former Swedish striker Arne Selmonsson and Serbian full-back Aleksandar Kolarov in the small list of players to have achieved the rare feat.

It is rare for players to join both Roman clubs because of the bitter rivalry between the two, with Pedro’s move earlier this summer being the first direct move in decades.

The 34-year-old Pedro, who is contracted to Lazio until 2023, joined the Biancocelesti after agreeing to terminate his contract with Roma, essentially being kicked out of the club.

The Spanish winger was keen to be reunited with coach Maurizio Sarri, whom he remembers fondly from their time together at Chelsea.

He is already playing a key role under Sarri, having started in five of the six Serie A games so far this campaign.
