Inzaghi scored 20 goals in European competitions for Lazio and Immobile has currently scored 16, meaning he is only four behind his former coach.

Immobile has the chance to secure this record this season, with Lazio having at least five more Europa League games left to play in their group stage. Should they reach the knockout rounds, he would have even more chances to take Inzaghi’s crown.

The 31-year-old Italian striker has had a great start to the season under coach Maurizio Sarri, having scored six goals and provided two assists in the first six games of the Serie A campaign.
