Lazio Star Immobile’s Injury in Win vs Lokomotiv Moscow Is Nothing Serious

Lazio star Ciro Immobile’s injury in yesterday’s 2-0 win over Lokomotiv Moscow is nothing too serious.

As reported by Italian radio broadcaster Lazio Style Radio (via LazioNews24) earlier today, the 31-year-old Italian striker was taken off in the 41st minute after suffering an injury during the first half.

Luckily for coach Maurizio Sarri, Immobile has only suffered a thigh tendon strain, a simple fatigue injury.

The 31-year-old Immobile, who is contracted to Lazio until 2025, has started the season incredibly well under coach Sarri, scoring six goals in the opening six Serie A games, including a hattrick against Spezia. He also provided two assists in the Derby della Capitale victory over Roma.

Immobile is only three goals behind Silvio Piola’s all time record with the club, having netted 156 goals since his arrival in 2016.
