Ciro Immobile Will Miss Lazio vs Bologna Due to Injury, Should Be Fit to Face Inter

Lazio star Ciro Immobile will not be fit enough to face Bologna tomorrow afternoon after suffering a thigh injury.

As announced in an official statement earlier today, the 31-year-old Italian striker suffered an injury to the semimembranosus muscle of the right thigh in the 2-0 win over Lokomotiv Moscow earlier this week, forcing him to be substituted in the first half.

The medical tests have now revealed that the injury is a little more serious than a normal strain, and so he’ll be forced to miss Lazio’s match against Bologna tomorrow afternoon.

Immobile will be sidelined for around 10 days and so will not be able to join the Azzurri camp for the upcoming international break.

The Biancocelesti face Inter on Saturday 16th October, so the hope is that Immobile will be fully fit by then. More testing will be carried out over the coming days to confirm his recovery time.

Immobile has had a good start to the season under coach Maurizio Sarri, scoring six goals in the opening six games of the season.
