Lazio Coach Sarri Looking to Extend His Impressive Record vs Bologna

Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri is hoping to extend his strong record against Bologna in tomorrow afternoon’s match.

As highlighted by stats portal Transfermarkt, the 62-year-old Italian coach has faced the Rossoblu on 11 previous occasions, winning seven of those games, drawing one and losing three.

Sarri’s first match against Bologna came in September 2005 in Serie B, when his Pescara side lost 2-1. The second meeting between those two teams that season ended in a 0-0 draw. The following season in 2006, Sarri’s Arezzo lost 1-0 to Bologna.

Sarri’s Napoli got off to a poor start against Bologna in Serie A, losing 3-2 in the 2015/16 season. This was the last time that a Sarri team failed to beat the Rossoblu.

Since then, the Lazio Italian coach has won seven Serie A matches in a row against Bologna with both Napoli and Juventus. Highlights include Napoli’s 6-0 win in 15/16 and a 7-1 win the following campaign.

Bologna currently sit 11th in Serie A this season after the first six games, winning two, drawing two and losing two.
