Bologna full-back Lorenzo De Silvestri was overjoyed with the team’s performance in the 3-0 win against Lazio earlier today.
Speaking in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia (via LazioNews24) after the game, the 33-year-old Italian right back touched on the team’s preparations for today’s match.
During the training camp we preached calmness and maturity. We know what our goal is.
We tightened up and today we are definitely very happy.
We have tried several systems of play. Today we were as compact as we were in Bergamo. Many people brought out that extra something.
We have 11 points and we are proud of ourselves. We are aware of our destiny and we are a great squad. I’m very confident.
Finally, De Silvestri discussed the Rossoblu’s goals for this season.
We know what the team wants, because there is a clear and serene comparison.
Lazio disappointed in the 3-0 loss to Bologna earlier today, looking tired and downtrodden in the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.
The Biancocelesti will have to re-group ahead of their next match against Inter on 16th October, after the international break.
The Roman club now sit 6th in the Serie A table after seven games with 11 points, tied with four other teams including Juventus and Atalanta, who could increase their position as a result of the match against AC Milan this evening.
