Acerbi Risks Missing Lazio’s Next Two Games Following Red Card in Loss to Bologna

Lazio defender Francesco Acerbi may be suspended for the next two games against Inter and Hellas Verona.

As reported by Italian media outlet LazioNews24 earlier today, the 33-year-old Italian defender was first given a yellow card in the loss to Bologna following his protests at referee Davide Massa’s decision, before being given a direct red card after continuing his tirade against the official.

Acerbi then showed the middle finger gesture whilst leaving the pitch, something that may be taken into account when deciding the length of his suspension.

Those few minutes may cost Acerbi dearly and he now risks missing Lazio’s next two league games against Inter and Hellas Verona.
