Sassuolo Femminile were clearly in the driving seat at the Stadio Enzo Ricci, looking fired up and confident as they faced a nervous and unsure Lazio Women squad.

The Neroverdi converted this momentum into a goal in the 31st minute, with Tomaselli finding the back of the net to put Sassuolo 1-0 up.

In the second half things were a little closer but Sassuolo still came out ahead, finding their second goal in the 85th minute thanks to Dongus, making it 2-0.

Cantore scored to make it 3-0 in the 90th minute, closing out another miserable afternoon for the Lazio Women squad.

Ohrstrom was Lazio’s best player on the pitch but despite her wonderful performance, she couldn’t single-handedly keep the club in the match.

Following the match, coach Morace was dismissed by the club, with president Claudio Lotito losing faith in the Italian coach.
