Lazio Women have appointed Massimiliano Catini as their new head coach following the dismissal of Carolina Morace.
As announced in an official statement earlier today, the Italian coach has been internally promoted to the role of head coach of the Lazio Women squad, tasked with restoring the team’s fortunes following a disastrous opening five games of the Serie A Femminile season.

Catini was most recently the coach of the Lazio Women U-17 squad. Earlier in his career, he has worked with Inter Primavera, Lazio’s youth system and Roma’s youth system.

The Italian coach will be joined by his technical collaborator Cristian Ieno, a researcher in Exercise Physiology at the Sapienza University of Rome who has experience working with both the young men and women in the Lazio youth setup.
Lazio Women currently sit bottom of the Serie A Femminile table after the first five games, with zero points and a -17 goal difference.
